The Villa of Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild
at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
Across the water in Beaulieu, the Villa Kerylos can be seen,
a second century Greek villa built by the cousin of Béatrice, Théodore Reinach, in the 1920s.
This view is looking east, only part of the magnificent setting of this Villa from the past, now a museum.
A section of the garden near the entrance to the Villa.
And now the view to the west across "La Rade" (Harbor) to Villefranche.
and beyond, the open Mediterranean.
Neither Béatrice herself, nor cousin Théodore, but Joe the Webmaster.
Dennis at the east side of the Villa, bougainvilla
and blue morning glories run rampant.
The south (rear) façade of the Villa
showing some architectural details.
A wide view of the garden and
the hills behind Villefranche, beyond.
A view of the eastern end of the house,
the rounded windows are the main salon facing Beaulieu and the view is much the same as in the first of these pictures.
Past the constantly active fountain
toward the house.
The entrance hall

Looking from the driveway as we left,
The Villa Kerylos and Beaulieu across the water and Èze-Sur-Mer beyond.
